Note from Baby Center-Baby lost it's Tail! Yeah!

So as a newly pregnant/never been pregnant before girl...I have been on baby center almost daily and for my 8 week mark here is what they posted! "Congratulations -- your embryo is now called a fetus, which means "offspring". Your uterus expands to accommodate its new resident, which now measures approximately five-eights of an inch / 1.6 centimetres. Many changes take place this week -- the embryonic tail is gone, and all organs, muscles, and nerves are beginning to function. The hands now bend at the wrist, and the feet begin to lose their webbed appearance. Eyelids are beginning to cover the eyes."

Wow each week when I read these updates I can hardly believe they are true. It is so crazy how quickly they develop into little human beings. I wish we could have a weekly ultra-sound so we can see what they look like and how they are coming along. Alas, I will be patient and wait for the 13th week. I guess it will be here before I know it!
